The Law Offices of Daniel Michael is a solo criminal defence practice based in Toronto. Daniel Michael graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2006 and was called to the bar in 2007, after having worked in criminal law since 2002 through Intensive Practical Programmes. The practice has focused exclusively on criminal defence since the call to the bar, handling charges that range from shoplifting to murder before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal.

A majority of the firm's clients are young persons under eighteen, and Michael has put much of the community outreach and continuing legal education into the Youth Criminal Justice Act and how it treats young people differently from adults. Michael has also been named to Legal Aid Ontario's Extremely Serious Matters Panel, a roster for lawyers who meet Legal Aid's minimum standards for the most serious criminal trials. In 2005, Osgoode Hall Law School recognized Michael with the Frank Zeman's Award for work with Parkdale Community Legal Services. The firm doesn't bill by the hour; it charges a fixed rate, or block fee, for each stage of a case, and the initial consultation is free.
