About K. Miller Law

Clients rate this firm highly on Google.

K. MILLER LAW is a small Toronto firm focused on employment law and denied disability and insurance claims. Katerina Miller earned a law degree in 2012 with Dean's List recognition and was called to the Ontario Bar in January 2020. Before starting the firm, Miller practised at another Toronto firm. The firm now represents employees and claimants across Ontario in matters such as wrongful and constructive dismissal, severance negotiations, workplace harassment, and duty to accommodate, along with denied short term and long term disability, critical illness, mortgage insurance, and life insurance claims.

The team is multilingual. Miller speaks English, Hebrew, Ukrainian, and Russian, and legal assistant Kate Spuziak speaks English, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian and is learning French. Paralegal Eli Penner, who also runs an independent paralegal practice handling Provincial Offences Act matters and disputes before the Landlord and Tenant Board, works on wrongful termination and constructive dismissal files at the firm. K. MILLER LAW offers a free initial consultation and a complimentary review of a client's severance package or disability denial before any commitment is made.

The neighbourhood

The office is in Suite 1901 of 5000 Yonge Street, a 21 storey, LEED Platinum office tower built in 2004 in the Lansing area of North York. The building has direct underground access to the TTC subway, so clients coming from elsewhere in Toronto or the GTA can reach the office without driving. It's a modern business tower rather than a storefront law office, which fits a small firm built to serve employment and disability clients from around Ontario rather than walk-in neighbourhood traffic.
