Hayes eLaw Professional Corporation is a small Toronto law firm that focuses on intellectual property, technology, and privacy law, along with related entertainment and media work. Mark Hayes founded the firm in April 2009, after 25 years practicing at some of Canada's largest full service law firms. The practice covers commercial and litigation matters in copyright and trademark law, entertainment and media, information technology and the internet, and privacy and access to information, and it has handled matters before the Copyright Board of Canada and the CRTC.
Litigation work at the firm has reached every level of the Canadian courts, including the Supreme Court of Canada, along with federal regulatory tribunals. Since retiring from active litigation practice in 2022, Mark Hayes has focused on arbitration and mediation through a related practice, Hayes Resolutions, which handles technology, e-commerce, intellectual property, and privacy disputes and offers arbitration, mediation, and combined mediation-arbitration services. Hayes also wrote the Privacy Law in Canada chapter of the U.S. publication Proskauer on Privacy, and co-authored The Cyberspace is Not a No Law Land, a 1997 study commissioned by Industry Canada.

Riverside is known for tree lined streets and small independent shops, along with the Victorian houses on De Grassi Street. The office itself has two boardrooms and breakout rooms with onsite parking, the kind of space Hayes Resolutions uses for the arbitration and mediation sessions it runs alongside the firm's intellectual property and technology practice.
