About Pierre Bonsu

Bonsu Law is a solo criminal defence practice run by Pierre Bonsu, working out of an office at 10 Four Seasons Place in Etobicoke. Bonsu is a graduate of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and, before being called to the bar, trained for a year at a legal clinic under mentors who included a poverty law practitioner and a former Crown prosecutor and criminal defence lawyer. Early work included matters before the Human Rights Tribunal and Ontario's Social Benefits Tribunal, plus a stint as Tenant Duty Counsel at the Landlord and Tenant Board.

The practice now centres on criminal defence across the Greater Toronto Area, with Bonsu appearing before judges and justices of the peace in courthouses spanning Brampton, Durham, Etobicoke, Hamilton, Milton, Newmarket, North York, Orangeville, Oshawa, Scarborough and Toronto. Cases range from assault, break and enter and fraud to bail hearings and young offender matters. Bonsu Law bills on a flat, block fee rather than by the hour and is on the Legal Aid Ontario roster, and Bonsu is a member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association.
