About PSV Law

PSV Law is a solo criminal defence practice in Toronto, founded by Paul S. Voinea. The firm keeps two offices, one in the Hudson's Bay Centre in Yorkville and one in the Transamerica Tower on Yonge Street in North York, and takes cases across the Greater Toronto Area. Voinea is licensed by the Law Society of Ontario and appears before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. The practice covers impaired driving, drug offences, assault, fraud, breaches of court orders, and bail hearings and appeals, and it's available in English, French, and Romanian, with other languages on request.

Before founding the firm, Voinea spent three years providing legal services to clients with limited financial means at a community legal aid clinic, and has worked alongside a criminal litigation specialist with over forty years of practice. Voinea represented several clients charged in Project Claudia, a Toronto police operation against marijuana dispensaries covered in 2016 news reports describing 43 dispensaries raided and close to 200 charges laid, and has appeared in CBC and Toronto Star coverage of other Toronto criminal cases. Voinea also judges the Osgoode Cup, a national mock trial competition at Osgoode Hall Law School, and sits on a mock trial organizing committee for the Ontario Justice Education Network.
