Law school included an internship at a legal aid clinic representing clients at administrative tribunal hearings and an internship at a Michigan firm practising criminal defence and civil litigation. Articles were completed at a small GTA firm concentrated in estates and trusts litigation, wills, estate planning and administration, and real estate law, and Djonin's practice has continued to combine real estate and family law since. Through Legal Aid Ontario, Djonin also takes on domestic violence and child protection matters and can serve clients in Bosnian, Croatian, Macedonian and Serbian as well as English.
