Academic misconduct meetings, hearings and appeals
Adam Goodman can serve as a student's legal counsel, with representation at exploratory meetings and in front of faculty committees, appeals committees or tribunals. The exploratory meeting is with an official appointed to investigate, usually called the Dean's Designate; if the case goes further, there's a formal hearing before a tribunal or committee, and an appeals process may follow if either party isn't satisfied with that decision.

Goodman starts work with every prospective academic client through a paid 50-minute consultation. Expect pointed questions about your matter, honest and forthright advice, and time spent building a strategy together. Goodman doesn't treat it as a sales pitch: many students leave happy with what they've heard and never hire Goodman further, while others go on to retain Goodman for representation at different stages of their case. On its own, a consultation with Goodman is $450 plus HST, paid a day before the meeting; with Zheng it's $250 plus HST. (Fees as of October 2026.)
