Dave Bennett founded the firm in 2018, having been called to the bar in 2005. Bennett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with honours, from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Victoria. Bennett began a legal career in Vancouver, working at corporate law firms and in the public sector with the City of Surrey, British Columbia, before relocating to Haileybury in 2007, where Bennett has practised primarily as defence counsel.

The firm now focuses exclusively on litigation, handling criminal and provincial offence matters that range from Highway Traffic Act violations and hunting and fishing offences to drug charges, impaired driving, assault, and homicide, along with civil litigation such as trials, appeals, negotiations, and mediations.
