About QWK Lawyers

QWK Lawyers is a Mississauga personal injury firm whose name comes from the surnames of its three founding partners, Luis Quail, Michael Warfe and Richard Kreder. The firm represents people injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, medical malpractice, workplace incidents and other personal injury matters, and also takes on short-term and long-term disability claims, CPP disability and WSIB disputes, along with wrongful dismissal and general litigation work. Quail and Kreder both spent time at insurance defence firms before moving into plaintiff-side work, which gave them a view of how insurers evaluate a claim.

Warfe brings a background in neuroscience and biology, earned through a master's degree at Queen's University, to cases involving brain and nervous system injuries, and has advocated at every level of court up to the Supreme Court of Canada. Warfe was named to Best Lawyers in Canada for personal injury litigation in 2025, and the firm holds a 2026 Best Law Firms regional ranking in the same category. QWK Lawyers takes personal injury and disability cases on a contingency fee basis, so clients pay nothing unless the firm recovers a settlement or judgment, with fees capped at 30 percent, or 35 percent in medical malpractice matters.
