About Nekzai Law

Nekzai Law is a small firm based in Mississauga's City Centre, handling real estate, business and corporate law, estate planning, and notary public services. It's built around individuals, families, and small businesses across the Greater Toronto Area rather than large institutional clients. Abdul Rahman Nekzai founded the practice in 2018, after summering and articling at a full-service Bay Street business law firm. The real estate practice covers residential and commercial purchases and sales, refinancing, and leasing, and it overlaps closely with the firm's business law work on incorporations and the purchase or sale of a business.

Nekzai earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Ottawa, graduating in the top 5% of the class and making the Dean's Honour List in all three years, after a Bachelor of Arts Honours in Global Political Studies from York University. During articles, Nekzai completed both a business and a litigation rotation, appearing before the Small Claims Court and the Ontario Court of Justice. Before law school, Nekzai spent more than six years as a licensed insurance agent with a national property and casualty insurer. Nekzai is fluent in Pashto and Dari and is Afghan Canadian.
