About Bluestar Law
Bluestar Law is the legal division of Bluestar Professional Services, a multidisciplinary firm that also provides accounting, wealth and insurance, and advisory services in Ontario. New clients don't contact a lawyer directly. A concierge intake process assesses the file first and then connects the client with a lawyer at the appropriate office. The legal team practises corporate and business law, civil litigation, family law, real estate law, and wills and estates across five offices: Mississauga, North York, Hagersville, Collingwood and Sault Ste. Marie.
Each office carries the name and history of an established local firm that joined the Bluestar network. The North York office brought together Neal & Smith, founded in 1979 by Randolph R. Neal and Barry Smith, and the practice of Richard W. Chuback, who founded that firm in 1991. The Collingwood office continues as Shaw, McLellan, founded more than four decades ago by Ian Paul Shaw and Brian R. McLellan. In Mississauga, KPA Lawyers was later joined by O'Connor Zanardo, established more than 34 years ago by Michael O'Connor and Linda Zanardo. The Sault Ste. Marie office builds on KPA Lawyers' existing Northern Ontario presence, and the Hagersville office carries on the McCarthy Fowler name.

The neighbourhood
The Collingwood office occupies the second floor of a building on Schoolhouse Lane, reached through oak doors that face the municipal parking lot at Pine and Second Streets downtown. It continues under the Shaw, McLellan name, a firm with more than four decades of history in the town before it joined the Bluestar network.
The rest of the network covers very different kinds of places. The North York office on Avenue Road brought a Scarborough practice into the same location in 2024 to consolidate the group's GTA presence, while the Mississauga office on Robert Speck Parkway continues the work of two merged firms. Hagersville and Sault Ste. Marie keep the firm rooted outside the GTA, with the Sault Ste. Marie office carrying on a Northern Ontario presence that predates the merger.
