Gilmour Barristers Professional Corporation is a small law firm with two lawyers, one office in Brampton and one in Haliburton, Ontario. William R. Gilmour, who practices out of the Haliburton office, has appeared at every level of court up to the Supreme Court of Canada, with cases in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, New Brunswick, and the State of Virginia. Gilmour has more than thirty-three years of experience as defence counsel and more than fifty years of involvement in the criminal justice system altogether, including earlier work as an investigator and police officer before moving into legal practice, and also sits as an arbitrator and mediator. Peter Girouard has practised law for more than forty years, focusing on wills, estates, real estate conveyancing, and small business and corporate governance matters, with an emphasis on timely, practical service for transactional clients.
