About Sage Legal Solutions

Sage Legal Solutions is a small litigation and human rights firm founded in 2021. It is headquartered in downtown St. Catharines, with satellite offices in Welland and Thunder Bay. The name draws on two meanings: sage as an Anishinaabe medicine used to purify and clear troubled thoughts, and the everyday sense of sage advice, meaning sound, sensible guidance. Founding lawyer Natalie Posala studied at Lakehead University and Carleton University, previously served as a director of the Thunder Bay Law Association, and has appeared before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Divisional Court.

Lawyer Marina Lor joined the firm after earning a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from UBC Okanagan in 2019 and a Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University in 2023, and speaks French, Farsi, and Chinese alongside English. Between them, the two lawyers work in civil litigation, small claims, employment and human rights matters, and Landlord and Tenant Board disputes, and represent professionals before regulatory bodies such as the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. The firm also handles some less common civil files, including breeding contract and animal ownership disputes, and provides commissioning and notarization services by appointment.
