About Ferré Law

Ferré Law is a solo family law practice in St. Catharines, Ontario, operated by lawyer Paula Ferré. The practice opened in 2022, after Martens Lingard LLP, where Ferré had practiced since 2008, closed on July 31, 2022. Ferré Law now works out of 14 Church Street, sharing space in the building with another law firm.

Ferré's path into family law included a stop in federal government work. Before law school, Ferré earned a B.A. in Translation (Honours) and worked as an English-to-French translator, then spent time as a federal public servant in departments including Transport Canada, Fisheries and Oceans, and Public Safety. Ferré went on to earn a Bachelor of Laws through the University of Ottawa's French-Language Common Law Program and a Master's in Public Administration from Carleton University, and worked as in-house counsel at two child protection agencies before joining Martens Lingard LLP in 2008.

The practice today covers divorce, separation and cohabitation agreements, child custody and support, property equalization, Family Responsibility Office matters, child protection, private adoptions, and estates litigation. Ferré Law offers services in both English and French.
