About Peter Norris

Peter Norris is a lawyer and notary public who joined George Murray Shipley Bell, LLP, a firm based on Front Street North in Sarnia, in 2012 as an associate following articling, and is now a partner at the firm. Norris earned an Honours BA in political science from King's University College at Western University in 2007, then a Juris Doctor from Dalhousie University in Halifax in 2011, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2012. The practice also keeps a second office in London, though the Sarnia office remains the base; London is simply a local point of contact for clients on that side of the region.

The work centers on real estate, business law, and wills and estates. On the real estate side, Norris handles residential purchases and sales along with commercial matters like leases, tenant issues, zoning, and compliance. Business clients get help incorporating a company, drafting contracts, and buying or selling a business, with an eye to how the structure will hold up as the business grows. The estates side covers wills, powers of attorney, and estate administration, along with notary services such as document notarization, oaths, and certified copies. Norris belongs to the Ontario Bar Association and the Dalhousie Alumni Association.
