About Morley Law Office

Morley Law Office is a sole immigration law practice in Kingston, Ontario. Leslie H. Morley founded the firm in 1988 and now operates it from an office on Division Street. The firm says it's helped people from more than 125 countries move to and remain in Canada, and it takes on clients from across Ontario as well as the United States and the United Kingdom.

Morley trained at McGill University before completing a law degree at Queen's University's Faculty of Law, and was called to the Ontario bar in 1988. The practice covers the range of Canadian immigration work: spousal and family sponsorship, overcoming inadmissibility, study and work permits, citizenship applications, and deportation and prison law matters, including immigration detention cases. Morley is also a Certified Family Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation and a contract mediator with Limestone Mediation.

Outside the immigration file work, Morley has taken on volunteer leadership roles with the Ontario Bar Association's Citizenship and Immigration Committee, the Canadian Prison Law Association, and the Frontenac Law Association, and has written newspaper commentary on immigration policy for the Kingston Whig-Standard, including a 2013 piece on Kingston's need for more immigrants.
