About McAuley Law

McAuley Law is a full service law firm based in Dryden, in Northwestern Ontario. Norman F. McAuley, QC, a returning Royal Canadian Air Force veteran, opened the practice in 1948 after relocating from Orangeville, Ontario. At the time, McAuley was the only lawyer between Kenora and Thunder Bay, and the firm has operated continuously from Dryden ever since.

Two partners now run the practice: Karen M. Seeley and Brock A. Moore-Bunney. Seeley was called to the Ontario bar in 2007, holds a political science and history degree from McGill University and a law degree with honours from the University of Saskatchewan, and practices criminal law, real estate, and corporate law, including arguing family law appeals at Ontario's Divisional Court. Moore-Bunney earned a social sciences degree with honours from the University of Ottawa and a law degree from the University of Manitoba, was called to the Manitoba bar in 2011 and the Ontario bar in 2012, and practices real estate, corporate and commercial law, and wills and estates. Together they keep the firm's original full service model, handling business, criminal, family, real estate, and wills and estates work from a central Dryden office with a branch in Sioux Lookout and regular appointments in Red Lake, serving communities as far flung as Ignace, Vermilion Bay, Ear Falls, and the Far North.
