Bayley Professional Corporation is a family law firm with an office in downtown Peterborough, serving clients across Peterborough, Lindsay, and the wider Kawartha Lakes region. Sherri Bayley founded the firm after earning a law degree in 2010, and with a growing interest in mediation went on to earn a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University. That background carries through into how the firm is set up: rather than offering one way to handle a separation, it offers several, from full representation to lower intensity options for clients who don't need or want a lawyer managing every step of the process.

By the firm's own account of how it spends its time, traditional one on one representation makes up the largest share of its work, followed by the collaborative process and hourly divorce coaching in equal measure, then family mediation, then court appearances. Bayley is a member of the Kawartha Collaborative, an association of family law lawyers, financial professionals, and mediators serving the City of Kawartha Lakes, Peterborough, Cobourg, and the surrounding area who work together on collaborative separations, belongs to the Ontario Association of Family Mediators and the Ontario Association of Collaborative Professionals, and holds a Legal Aid Ontario certificate that covers advice on domestic violence.
