About Guzina Law

Guzina Law is a solo law practice based in Stoney Creek, a community within the city of Hamilton, Ontario. Petar Guzina opened the firm in 2020 after more than ten years as a provincially appointed adjudicator for the Landlord and Tenant Board, a role that began in 2009. That background shapes the firm's focus: representation of both landlords and tenants before the LTB, appeals to the Divisional Court, and applications to the Superior Court of Justice when a dispute goes beyond the LTB's monetary limit. The firm also handles residential and commercial real estate transactions and mortgage work, including refinancing and private lender arrangements, and it coordinates eviction order enforcement with the Court Enforcement Office.

Guzina earned an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2004 and was called to the Ontario bar in 2005. Before opening the practice, Guzina worked in a general law practice in Stoney Creek and at the Community Legal Clinic in Brantford. The firm belongs to the Greater Toronto Apartment Association, the Hamilton District Apartment Association, the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association, and the Federation of Rental Housing Providers of Ontario, industry groups tied to its rental housing work.
