About Family Law Solutions

Family Law Solutions is a family law practice based in Ancaster, Ontario, on Hamilton's west side, focused on resolving separation and divorce outside the courtroom. Lesley Matthewson founded the firm, and Kimberley Vooro became its owner when Matthewson retired. Vooro brings more than 25 years in law and government to the practice, starting with a Bachelor of Science from the University of Waterloo in 1991 and a law degree from Queen's University in 1996, followed by a call to the Ontario Bar in 1998. Vooro then worked as an associate at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Toronto before joining the Ontario Government, where an interest in collaboration and engagement took hold and led to training in mediation and collaborative family law. Vooro started an independent family law practice in 2013 and later took over Family Law Solutions.

The practice resolves separation and divorce through collaborative family law, mediation, or traditional lawyer-to-lawyer negotiation, and also handles cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and uncontested divorces. Vooro is an Accredited Family Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation, an executive member of Collaborative Practice Hamilton Halton, and a co-founder of Teal Family Mediation Inc. Family Law Solutions serves clients across Hamilton, Halton, Peel, Brant County, Niagara, and the Kitchener-Waterloo area, with an initial consultation offered at no cost.
