About Bombardieri Family Law

Bombardieri Family Law is a solo family law practice based in Oakville, Ontario, run by Lisa I. Bombardieri, who was called to the Ontario Bar in 2009 after graduating from Queen's University's law program in 2008. The practice covers the full range of family law work: separation and divorce, custody and access, child and spousal support, division of property, and variations of existing court orders or separation agreements. Cases can move through negotiation between lawyers, mediation and arbitration, or litigation, depending on what works for the family involved.

What sets the practice apart is that its founder is both a licensed family law lawyer and an accredited mediator through the Ontario Association for Family Mediation. That combination means a separation or divorce agreement reached in mediation can be drafted as a binding document without being handed off to a separate lawyer, a step many non-lawyer mediators can't take on their own. More than a decade of litigation experience also feeds into how the firm approaches negotiated settlements and mediated agreements, since it has a working sense of how a case would likely be treated if it ended up in court. Mediation is offered virtually as well as in person, so clients outside Halton Region can still use it.
