Law123.ca is the Whitby and Pickering personal injury practice of Steven Polak, a partner in Lerners LLP's Personal Injury Law Group. Lerners is an Ontario law firm that opened its doors in 1929, when Mayer Lerner started the practice and was joined about a decade later by brother Sam, and it now runs offices in London, Toronto, the Waterloo Region and Strathroy with more than 100 lawyers. Polak's main office is the Whitby office on Athol Street, meeting Durham Region clients there and at a satellite location in Pickering.

Polak was called to the Ontario bar in 2002 after earning a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School, following two years of undergraduate study at the University of Western Ontario. The practice's early years were split between representing injured plaintiffs and defending insurance companies and doctors, but since 2008 it has represented only injured and disabled clients, in cases involving car accidents, long term disability denials, slip and falls, and related injuries across Durham Region. Cases proceed on a contingency basis, and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory has recognized Polak in the area of Personal Injury. Polak grew up in York Region, where the family had settled after immigrating from Chile in the 1970s.
