John A. Annen, Barrister Professional Corporation is a sole-practitioner litigation firm based in Whitby, Ontario, part of Durham Region. The firm focuses on civil litigation, appeals, tribunals, constitutional law, provincial offences, and wills and estates. John Annen was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2011, after earning a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa Law School in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts, Honours, in Political Studies from Trent University.

During law school, Annen volunteered at the Eco-Justice Environmental Law Clinic and with the Ontario Bar Association, and served as Bailiff at the first Willms and Shier Environmental Moot Court competition while articling. The Native Law Centre of Canada awarded Annen the 2010 Harvey Bell Memorial Prize for academic achievement and for contributions to establishing the rights of Native Canadians and their communities. The practice has since appeared before Ontario courts and tribunals on constitutional issues, indigenous rights, environmental torts, landlord and tenant disputes, commercial litigation, and real property matters, including trials, motions, conferences, and appeals at various levels of the Ontario Superior Court.
