About Mahin Law

Mahin Law is a family law firm with its office in Pickering, Ontario, serving clients across the Greater Toronto Area, including Newmarket, Barrie, Mississauga, and Brampton. The firm is named after founder Saloumeh (Sally) Madani's grandmother, Mahin Dashtkian, a single mother who focused on the happiness and wellbeing of the family and passed away in 2020. Madani holds a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and psychology from McMaster University, a Master of Arts in sociology from the University of Guelph researching family dynamics, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor, and has practiced exclusively in family law since being called to the bar.

Mahin Law handles divorce and separation, decision-making responsibility and parenting time, child and spousal support, property division, cohabitation agreements and marriage contracts, restraining orders, and alternative dispute resolution including mediation and arbitration. Associate lawyer Amnah Hasan, called to the bar in Ontario in 2022, is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi, and associate lawyer Aobedullah (Obie) Azizy is fluent in English, Pashto, and Dari. Mahin Law offers virtual meetings and unbundled legal services, so clients can get help with only part of a case.
