Gary Hunter Law is a small firm run by lawyer Gary Hunter from an office on William Street in downtown Paris, Ontario. The practice traces its roots to 1885, when it began under the name Sheldon Smoke. Over the following century and a half it operated under a long line of partnership names, among them Smoke & Gould, Littlejohn & Sutherland, Sutherland & Tarrison, and Tarrison & Hunter, before it was rebranded under its current name. The firm's own materials describe more than 135 years of continuous legal practice in the area.

Today the firm handles real estate transactions, wills and powers of attorney, estate administration and probate, business and corporate matters, collaborative family law, and notary and commissioner of oaths services. It serves clients based in Paris as well as those in Brantford, Cambridge, and Woodstock, and across Oxford, Norfolk, and Brant Counties.
