A.H. MacSkimming Law Office is a mining and energy law practice based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, with a second office in Toronto's First Canadian Place tower. It's organized around three practice areas: mining law, energy law, and a growing defence practice. The firm is a solo practice built around principal Andrew H. MacSkimming, who draws on an extensive network of outside counsel when a matter needs a larger team.

MacSkimming was called to the Ontario bar in July 2005 and is licensed to practice in both Manitoba and Ontario, with more than 20 years of post-call experience. Before focusing on mining and energy work, MacSkimming held a mix of public and private sector roles, including senior political advisor to federal cabinet ministers, positions in the federal public service, and work as an energy and climate change consultant. That government relations background carries into the firm's current files, several of which involve First Nations matters alongside transactional and regulatory mining and energy work.

MacSkimming holds an LL.M. in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School (2004) and a B.C.L. and LL.B. from McGill University (2002), along with certificates in P3s and mining law from Osgoode Hall Professional Development. The Province of Manitoba later named MacSkimming Vice Chair of its Expert Advisory Council on the province's climate and green plan and appointed MacSkimming to its Liaison Committee on Mining and Exploration.
