Bankruptcy & InsolvencyWilliam Noonan holds a Bachelor of Administration from the University of Ottawa (1978) and a Bachelor of Laws from Université Laval (1981). He is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and was recognized by his peers in Best Lawyers in Canada in 2008. He joined the firm then known as Hickson Martin Blanchard in 1982, training under Me Michael E. Hickson, one of its founding figures, and took over the firm in 1999, when it was renamed Hickson Noonan. He is a sought-after speaker on bankruptcy and insolvency matters and favours pairing junior and senior lawyers on files so younger lawyers learn from more experienced ones. He is responsible for the firm's personal information protection under Quebec's Law 25.
