About Shawn

Shawn M. Philbert earned his LL.B. from the University of Windsor Law School in 2001, after which he worked as a teacher in South Korea and gained experience with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service in Ottawa. He converted his LL.B. to a J.D. in 2017. Licensed to practise in Ontario in 2002, he opened his own firm and has since worked across many areas of law, appearing before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Federal Court, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, Small Claims Court, and various tribunals. He is a member of several bar associations, including the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
