About Rod
Rod A. Vanier is the founder of Vanier & Associates and has practised law in Nepean/Ottawa-West for more than 40 years. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Carleton University in 1976 and his LL.B. from the University of Ottawa in 1979, and was called to the bar of Ontario in 1981. He practises corporate law, real estate (sales, purchases and mortgages), family law, and wills and estates. Rod is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the County of Carleton Law Association, past president of the Barrhaven Rotary Club, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion's Barrhaven Branch. He has been recognized with the City of Ottawa Community Activist of the Year Award (2007) and has served as past chair of the Nepean Chamber of Commerce, Queensway Carleton Hospital and the Olde Forge Community Resource Centre, and as a director of the Ottawa Rotary Home.
