About Nicco
Nicco Bautista is a Manila-born wealth management lawyer who advises international family offices, charities and business owners. He completed a dual law and public policy degree at UBC, including an exchange to the University of Manchester, and worked at national law firms in Singapore and Malaysia before summering, articling and practising in the wealth management law division of a national Canadian law firm as both an estate litigator and solicitor. He then spent over five years at the director level of a Canadian national bank providing estate planning advice to investor clients. He sits on the boards of several private equity real estate companies, not-for-profit organizations and family businesses, and advises school, foundation and non-profit boards on compliance, planned donations and governance. He is conversant in Mandarin, Hokkien and Tagalog and has spoken to media outlets including the Globe and Mail and the People's Law School on estate planning topics.
