About Michael
Michael Gannon has practised law in the Northwest Territories since 2004, after first travelling north as a summering law student in 2002. His practice focuses on wills and estate planning and human rights law, and he also assists clients with probate and letters of administration. He has experience in policy analysis and legislative drafting, and delivers legal education courses on municipal law, contracts, and ethics to municipal administrators, council members, and staff across NWT communities, as well as trial procedure and sentencing training for the NWT Territorial Court's Justice of the Peace Program. He is a graduate of the University of Victoria's law school and has also worked as a geotechnical engineer and environmental geologist; he has been a registered, non-practising professional engineer in British Columbia since 1989. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
