About Martin
Martin Black has practised law in Ottawa for more than 40 years. His work covers residential and commercial real estate acquisitions, sales and financings, incorporations, shareholder agreements and the buying and selling of businesses, land development including subdivision and condominium registrations, commercial leasing, wills and estate litigation, and mortgage enforcement. He also handles corporate and financial restructuring, bankruptcy and insolvency, and construction lien and collections matters. Black served for four years as head of the Law Society of Ontario's Insolvency (Creditor/Debtor Rights) Section of the Bar Admissions Course and has lectured for the Law Society, the Canadian Bar Association, and other organizations on condominiums, real estate, bankruptcy and insolvency, and personal property security law. He has also volunteered with several health, educational and arts charities in Ottawa.
