About Maria

Icasiana came to Canada from the Philippines in 2009 with a background in law, having earned her law degree from the Ateneo de Manila School of Law in 1993 and been called to the bar there in 1994. She first worked for the City of Swift Current as a community connections worker, then served as executive director of the Southwest Newcomer Welcome Centre from 2011 to 2023. She completed the accreditation process for her law degree in 2022, joined Anderson & Company as an articling student in April 2023, and was called to the Saskatchewan Bar in May 2024. Her practice covers family law, real estate, estate planning and administration, and immigration.
