About Makena
Makena Talburt is a family lawyer who earned her LL.B. in Law and International Studies from the University of Central Lancashire in the United Kingdom in 2018. After completing the NCA process in April 2023, she was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2025. Before joining Javed Law she worked for over two years as a family law legal assistant in Ottawa.
