About Laura

Laura Ann Weir has practiced law since 2006, focusing on civil law matters including personal injury and right-of-way disputes. She studied legal techniques at Collège Ahuntsic in Montreal, which let her open and run her own legal services practice before completing her law degree; she started that business at age 19, working as an assistant receptionist and legal technician for other lawyers while she studied. She later earned her law degree and her Bar diploma from the University of Ottawa. She has been active in her community, including serving on and eventually chairing the board of her local Chamber of Commerce.
