About Lata

Lata Menon is the founder of Menon Law Professional Corporation, practising civil litigation, family law, criminal law, and immigration law, along with wills and estates, personal injury, corporate law, traffic tickets, and residential and commercial real estate closings. She practised in law firms in India for a decade, appearing before civil, criminal, and high courts in Mumbai, Kerala, and Bangalore, before moving to Canada. She has argued before the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Superior Court as lead counsel, completed a specialized course in negotiations and leadership from Harvard Law School in 2020, and is active in community organizations supporting gender equality and victims of domestic violence.
