About Ko
Ko Bhamra practises exclusively in criminal law with a special focus on youth criminal justice, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2002. Bhamra holds a B.A. (Hons.) and an M.A. from the University of Windsor, an LL.B. from the University of Windsor, and an LL.M. from York University. Bhamra has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Appeal, and the Ontario Review Board, and regularly appears before London's Youth Therapeutic Court, Adult Therapeutic Court, and Gladue Court. Bhamra served as the London Criminal Lawyers' Association representative on the Youth Justice Advisory Committee of Middlesex County from 2009 to 2019, and as Regional Coordinator of the Ontario Bar Association's Child and Youth Law Section. Bhamra has delivered lectures on youth justice and criminal law at Western University's Faculty of Law, including as part-time visiting faculty in the Juris Doctor program, and completed the Osgoode Certificate in Law Teaching. Bhamra chaired the Women's Mentorship Group in Criminal Law in London from 2018 to 2026, and in 2017 and 2019 was appointed to the Federal Judicial Advisory Committee for Ontario, West and South, as a nominee of the federal Minister of Justice and the Attorney General of Ontario.
