About Julie

Julie Couture founded the firm and has practiced criminal law since 2003. She began her career under judges Marco Labrie and Alexandre St-Onge, then established a private practice in Longueuil focused on criminal and penal law. Julie Couture has been publicly recognized as a defence lawyer associated with Le Journal de Montreal and has appeared on television discussing criminal justice, including as a panelist on the Noovo program Les Justiciers since 2022. She published a book, "Sois ton propre avocat," in September 2021, with proceeds donated to Maison d'Ariane, a charity supporting women and children affected by domestic violence. Julie Couture is a member of the Barreau de Montreal and Laurentides-Lanaudiere, serves as a supervising lawyer (maitre de stage) for the Barreau du Quebec, and was named a member of the Barreau du Quebec's disciplinary council. She practices primarily in the Montreal, Laval, Saint-Jerome and Joliette courthouses, as well as several North Shore municipal courts.
