Johanne Thériault Paulin practices litigation at JTP Law in Beresford, New Brunswick, handling criminal, constitutional, civil, and family law matters. She was admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 2009 and began her career at a private firm before serving as a Crown Prosecutor specializing in criminal law with the Office of the Attorney General of New Brunswick from 2012 (ad hoc since 2018). In 2018 she returned to private practice, taking on roles with various administrative tribunals and acting as an agent for the Public Prosecution Service of Canada. She has served as Vice-Chair of the New Brunswick WorkSafe Appeal Tribunal since 2017, as Chair of the Appeal Board of Competencies and Credential for Teacher Education and Early Childhood Development since 2017, as President of the New Brunswick Mental Health Tribunal from 2020 to 2023, and as a Board Member of the Vitalité Health Network since 2023. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Information and Communications with a minor in Sociology and a Bachelor of Laws, both from the University of Moncton, and completed Public Leadership training and a Negotiation Certification at Harvard University. She was president of the New Brunswick Canadian Bar Association's Continuing Professional Development Committee from 2012 to 2023 and served ten years on the council of the Law Society of New Brunswick.
