About JoAnne

JoAnne Heming is Senior Counsel at Heming & Associates, practicing family law, criminal law, wills and estates, litigation, real estate, and corporate law. Before becoming a lawyer, she worked as a paralegal for about 30 years, gaining broad experience running a small-town law firm. She built the current firm from the practice her husband, Bruce Heming, started, believing early on that Strathmore could become a leading legal services centre for the Wheatland area. An interest in helping people resolve problems first drew her to a psychology degree before she pursued law. She supports several Strathmore causes promoting inclusion, diversity, and education, spends weekends with her grandchildren, and plays guitar.
