About Ishan

Ishan Sharma founded LawStop and serves as its managing partner, building a criminal defence practice after an early brush with the justice system convinced him to advocate for the accused. He graduated with distinction from the Ludlow Hall School of Law at the University of New Brunswick, having first completed a Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Toronto. Over his career he has defended clients on charges ranging from mischief to murder, appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice and the Ontario Superior Court of Justice on behalf of hundreds of people. He holds that the burden of proof belongs squarely with the Crown and that every accused person deserves a genuinely strong defence.
