About Ioanna
Ioanna Lianis is a Montreal criminal lawyer and accredited family mediator. She graduated from the Université de Montréal and has been a member of the Barreau du Québec since 2007, practising criminal and penal law for more than 15 years. She also acts as an accredited supervising mediator for professionals seeking family mediation accreditation, and serves as a decision-maker on the Barreau du Québec's Comité des requêtes. In her criminal practice, she carefully reviews each file to advise clients on their best options, whether the goal is an acquittal, avoiding a criminal record, securing the most lenient sentence possible, or avoiding incarceration. She appeared in the documentary series "Infractions," which followed the criminal cases of real accused individuals, covering matters such as shoplifting, workplace altercations, assault against a former father-in-law, workplace fraud, drug possession, criminal harassment, death threats, assault against a former partner, and impaired driving. She is a member of the Association des avocats de la défense de Montréal, Laval et Longueuil and the Institut de médiation familiale du Québec.
