Evenden co-founded the firm, now AWP Law, in 1988 with Svetlana MacDonald. She was called to the bar in 1982 and became a partner at MacDonald Evenden in 1998 after working as an associate at Murphy and Brown in London, Ontario. Prior to law school, she held research positions at McMaster University and Western University's University Hospital in psychology, psychiatry, and neuropsychology. She is a member of the Middlesex Law Association, the Middlesex Family Law Association (treasurer 1994-1997), the Collaborative Family Lawyers of London and Middlesex, the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, the Law Society of Upper Canada, and the Canadian Bar Association. She is now retired.
