Administrative & Regulatory LawHeather Wojcik holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Victoria. She was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2011 after articling at a national law firm, and her practice has included litigation and advisory work in family, civil, administrative, and anti-poverty law. Before joining Saltwater Law, she held a senior leadership role at a province-wide legal nonprofit, where she built partnerships between the private bar and community organizations and represented low- and modest-income clients in family law matters. She has acted as counsel in precedent-setting cases, including one of the first in Canada to legally recognize a third parent in a polyamorous family. Heather brings a trauma-informed, child-centred approach to her work and has extensive experience with clients who have experienced family violence, often using negotiation and mediation to help clients reach agreements outside of court.
