About Gordon

Gordon Kaiser is an arbitrator and mediator practicing in Toronto and Washington, DC, handling domestic and international disputes in energy, infrastructure, telecommunications, competition law, and technology. He served as Vice Chairman of the Ontario Energy Board for six years and was previously a partner at Gowlings for 25 years, appearing in the courts of five provinces, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has advised regulators including the Ontario Energy Board, the Alberta Utilities Commission, the Commissioner of Competition, and the Ontario Independent Electricity System Operator, as well as utilities such as Toronto Hydro, Union Gas, and Hydro One. He has mediated energy and technology sector settlements and arbitrated disputes involving transmission and pipeline construction, power purchase agreements, and gas supply contracts. He is a member of the JAMS Global Engineering and Construction panel, the IESO panel in Toronto, the ICC Canadian arbitration panel, and the London Court of International Arbitration, and has served as an adjunct professor at Queen's University, the University of Toronto, and Osgoode Hall Law School. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London.
