About Daniel

Daniel E. Larochelle founded his Lac-Mégantic firm and has practiced for more than 25 years, with a focus on civil law, insurance law and family law. He was called to the Barreau du Québec in 1998. He has represented victims and businesses in the class action arising from the Lac-Mégantic rail disaster, including the recourse against Canadian Pacific, and has represented clients opposing expropriation notices tied to the town's rail bypass project before the Federal Court. Though not originally from Lac-Mégantic, he has practiced there for more than 20 years and has been active in local organizations including the Club Richelieu and the Méganski cross-country ski club.
