Garnier has been a member of the Barreau since 2003 and practises primarily in family law, where she has built a strong reputation in the legal community. Since 2019 she has held the title of Governor of the Fondation du Barreau du Québec, awarded to the province's most distinguished senior lawyers. She is also a longtime member of the Association des familialistes de Québec and has developed expertise in adversarial court proceedings. She works closely with Geneviève Bilodeau-Caron and Sarah Rodrigue.
