About Cori
Cori L. McGuire has practiced family law in British Columbia since being called to the bar in 1998, with work spanning litigation, mediation, collaborative law, and arbitration. She was among the first Legal Aid duty counsel in BC to provide free family law services in courthouses. She is accredited by the Law Society of British Columbia as a family law arbitrator since 2013, and has worked as a parenting coordinator since 2008 and a family law mediator since 2003. Her current practice focuses on parenting coordination and family law arbitration, helping separated parents implement parenting arrangements and reduce conflict. She has held leadership roles with the Canadian Bar Association, including past chair of its Okanagan, national family law, and national child and youth law sections, and has taught for groups including West Coast LEAF and UBC Okanagan. She holds an LLB from the University of Western Ontario and the University of British Columbia, a Master of Arts in Sociology from McMaster University, a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Criminology from Simon Fraser University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Saskatchewan.
