About Christopher
Christopher Boyd grew up in the Cribbons Point area of Antigonish County. He earned a Bachelor of Science with dual first-class honours in mathematics and economics at St. Francis Xavier University in 1995 and a Master of Science in statistics at Queen's University in 1996, then worked as a statistician in cancer research and on Bay Street before completing a law degree at the University of Victoria in 2004. He was called to the bar in 2006 and has maintained a general practice since. He is a sessional lecturer in the business department at St. Francis Xavier University, a director of the Nova Scotia Legal Aid Commission, a board member of the Canadian Association for Community Living (Antigonish), and a member of the Atlantic Fisheries Licence Appeal Board. He has also served on the board of the Bergengren Credit Union and written on legal issues for the Antigonish Casket.
