About Birkin

Birkin is a Certified Specialist in Family Law, a designation awarded by the Law Society of Ontario, and his practice covers divorce litigation, custody and parenting disputes, property division, and support matters, along with Family Responsibility Office issues. He is trained in collaborative family law and has served as an Agent for the Office of the Children's Lawyer and a panel lawyer with the Family Responsibility Office. Birkin also sits as a Deputy Judge in Small Claims Court, an appointment made by the Attorney General of Ontario, and previously developed and taught a law course at Wilfrid Laurier University's Brantford campus. He is active in the Brantford community as past president of SOAR and past president of the Brant Law Association. Birkin studied at the University of Guelph and Queen's University before practicing in the Brantford, Brant, and Norfolk area.
